There isn't supposed to be a door there. It's just decoration. Some mods do place door to there though.
If your wanting to damage the reactor, just blow up the input terminals for it in the room next to it. Changing floors does set the explosives off automatically so you don't have to stand and wait there. If the explosives don't work you may have placed it incorrectly.
Yeah ... oh well, anyway, was tired of it.
I would also throw in somewhat buggy in Win10.
