Best SPECIAL starting stats
I finished Fallout 1 months ago and want to play Fallout 2 now. I forgot how to play the game and what stats are important. If I could see the best stats you could start off with that would be very helpful.

6 Str
6 Per
6 End
4 Cha
9 Int
10 Agi
6 Luc

Always take Gifted. High INT gives you lots of skill points. 6 Luck is needed for some of the best perks. 10 AGI lets you shoot twice per round. You can go with 5 STR and 4 END to put points elsewhere. Dump CHA if you dont have Speech, but you should.

If you want very few companions. CHA/2=number of companions.
I know. I usually have no companions after Sulik, too much trouble to keep them alive.

5 Str
6 Per
4 End
8 Cha
8 Int
10 Agi
6 Luck

High CHA version. Take Lifegiver at lvl 12 to make up for low hitpoints.

I really like that, I replayed the first fallout and it didn't turn out so well cuz i didnt have enough strength. Not really in the mood of getting power armor and going into the glow with no radx

Pick your tag skills first and see what specials boost those. This game actuallly lets you play with different designs very well once you understand what is going to give you grief. Safe stat dumps are always intelligence and agility. You don't need gifted but it is definitely a great choice.

Small guns is the safest tag skill as it is an insane workhorse from the pipe rifle to the gauss rifle; you can get by with picking another weapon type instead but it may take some time to get said weapon type; my personal favourite is going energy weapons to work towards the modded plasma rifle.

The other 2 work horse skills are lockpick and speech. You use these all the time and you dont actually need high charisma. Pick all three of these skills and set your special as a lucky perceptive, agile sniper and the first playthrough is easy.

You can break away from this though; an automatic weapons character with high luck and critical boosting perks can slaughter much; learn the satisfation of reverse pickpocketing explosives (especially timebombs); be a charismatic cult leader who can outfit their many minions with the best loot available; build a character to become a drug addicted porn megastar.

Maxed Int and gifted are a must and all other stats have their value.

Consider playing with extremely low Int if you want a challenge and different experience. Playing with a character that just grunts is a fun experience.

On second thought here is another good build:
Traits:
One Hander
Skilled

Strength - 4
Perception - 5
Endurance - 7
Charisma - 8
Intelligence - 10
Agility - 5
Luck - 1

Skills:
Big guns
First Aid
Doctor

I assure you this build will get through the game with no problem.
Companions will get in the way of your big guns, so don't use them.
