Similar to Capitalism II?
In reading some of the reviews (and the description, of course), this title seems to be a modernization of the old-school production sim "Capitalism II" by Trevor Chan - a game that has eaten a lot of my hours over the years.

Is this game similar? Very? Not at all?

It's similar but, to much nanomanagment: Productionprice change -> demand change -> sell price change (every ingame tick for every shop seperate). Self production is a zero humming game, the only way to make money is by buying end products at the world market and sell them. (last patch)

don't buy it, play capitalism II as long as runable on Windows, or wait until a HD/4k Remastered Version.

Wow. That's disappointing, but thank you so much for the insight! It's deeply appreciated.

Only similarity is you buy/make and sell stuff. This can be a fun game once you figure out how it works. There is a bigger focus on supply chains than Cap 2. Problem is it gets overwhelming once you get multiple products going there is not enough reporting to let you know where you are making or losing money. If you are looking for an updated Cap 2 try Capitalism Lab. Lot of updates, mods, and they are still coming up with new stuff. I miss the logistics management from this game though. If somebody could merge Cap Lab with this game it would be my dream game.

I'd heard good things about CapLab, but had trouble trusting a digital-only company I knew nothing about. Worthwhile by your view?

Definitely worth it if you like the original games. Lot of new stuff, still getting updates, and some good real world mods.

Inexplicable removal of multiplayer though.

User-moddable, too, isn't it?

Well, can't say that bothers me overmuch; don't do multiplayer anyway. ;)
