Can't find the UFO

So I'm been wandering around forever. I read I can upgrade my luck by 2 but was only able to by 1. I'm currently at 6 luck and high outdoorsman. Wandering deserts forever and I never get any special encounters.

This is my first time playing the game, any suggestions?

Pick some perks to increase your chance of random encounters. But understand - they're *random* and not guaranteed to happen even with max stats.

Thanks I see there's a perk that will increase my chances so I'll give that a try when I can unlock a new perk.

I just got it today. Yet I had a luck of 10 which is awesome because I literally found the giant godzilla foot print and the tardis today aswell. I barly travel the waste but you can definitly find a ton of encounters with a high luck skill. Just make it level 8 luck and talk to the guy in boneyard and have him keep reading your fortune to raise it 2 levels. I'm actually not certain if he raises it by 1 or 2 but on the wiki it says 2

I think I messed something up and only had it raised 1 to a total of 6. Thanks to some persistence and the explorer perk I was able to find the used car salesman, godzilla footprint, tardis and FINALLY the alien blaster. Then finished the game last night. I'm a little Fallout'd out, I think I'll wait before cracking 2.

I know what you mean man, I played Fallout for the past few days and while it is fun, I'm kinda Fallout'd out aswell. Since I had a high Luck, I was practically guarenteed one or two special encounters everytime I left a village or hub area. All thats left for me is to take out the master and I'm done but I'm hanging back and maybe leveling because despite doing everything I'm only level 12 :/

It's actually pretty funny I just got this game off GoG for free a few days ago. I decided to start my character with 10 luck and in a few hours of playing. I found the giant footprint , nuka cola truck, Doctor who Tardis, The Ufo, car mart, and the talking brahmin this was all in one afternoon.

wondering around with 7 luck and still no UFO. the best thing i got was TARDIS. Are there like areas that UFO appears more or something?
