Crashing with a memory access error!

I have saved a game in the middle of a combat (that i hopefully can win) in The Khans territory, but what's the problem with that?
The problem is, whenever i try to make a move, open up the menu, use the inventory or ELSE!
My game crashes with an "Memory access" error, anyone know how to fix this?

I guess that i managed to "fix" it, however you'll lose your last save file sadly...
The problem is the save itself, when is corrupted will crash everytime, the only way to clear it is to save over it with a new one...

I'm so sorry... I always save after everything i do, i keep myself always updated in saves and even a backup, but for that error i already started a new game for 2 times by now, and i guess the game is a bit "Dead" by now, so don't expect a patch soon :C

i ve got another problem... an "error" appears in the chatwindow. it happens when i start to talk to somebody in sandy sands... oh, i play on german...

Same save from before? Because when you have a corrupted save file, you can't basically do anything, from exiting a city or talking to people, even pressing ESC ! :c

mhm, did we talk the same? my "memory error" usual appears after a few hours of playing -> back to desktop. <--- i follow your advice and creat a new game. (actually i installed the whole game again ;)). After travelling to sandy sands i was talking to someone there and all i can anwser was "error".... sorry for my terrible english ;)

i dont hope that "chat-error" means, that the file is broken again...

Well, actually we was not talking about the same, maybe it's a known bug for the NPC that you're talking to, if is not important then simply don't talk to him :P

Hi! Go to your game files. Find ddraw.ini and just rename it.

I sometimes get the same error when I am in a fight with human enemies and they attack me
Renaming ddraw does not work for me
