Exploring the Whole Map
Is there any reason or a point to exploring every inch of the world map so that all squares are fully lit up?

I do it in the end just to make sure I've seen all there is.

Nope unless u want to spend some time as you wait getting the random events.

Not really. You get most of markers or at least some guesses or directions from specific NPCs and special encounters are not specific to tiles. Better save that time limit. I actually remember getting energy gun encounter quite early while going straight from location to location.

Unless you want specific encounters or you want the special encounters, no.

I like to explore the whole map, but it's more of an obsessive compulsive thing. I also like grinding exp from the random events.

Personally, I think some of the best/most rare random events occur on the coast line.

I'll admit I'm a bit obsessive compulsive too. Though I think it's much better late game to grind levels at the Deathclaw Warehouse in Adytum.

Yeah, I really wish deathclaws spawned more frequently on the map. They very rarely spawn near the Boneyard as a random encounter. But you're right that grinding on the deathclaws at the warehouse is the best way to get lots of xp.
