Damn! Junktown turned hostile...
Hey guys! I got a bit of a problem here on my first playthrough of this (beautiful) game.. So I went to junktown und talked to Killian Darkwater, all of a sudden some guy comes in and shoots at him. I was like "Oh boy! I have to help him!", so i draw my weapon shoot this guy down and now everyone there turned hostile... My trusty companion killed Killian and I havent saved in like 2 hours -.- Is there any way (console, ini) to fix or revert this? Or did i just ♥♥♥♥ up?
Hope you guys can help =)

Console?! Someone's too used to the 'new' games. >.<

And nope. If you don't have an earlier save to revert to, You're pretty much ♥♥♥♥♥♥ :/

It's just a good habit in RPGs to always have two to three saves and alternate. Consequences make for a different story each time, Yes, But sometimes you're trying to avoid a certain outcome and the game isn't too good at letting you know the cues.

I had a similar issue with that quest line, and that is I was asked to go and kill the fat guy. I did, but I was never acknowledged to have completed the quest and there is nothing I can do :(

I keep a lot of saved games but I often notice when you reload a game it actually makes it worst, like blocking you between field barriers that never comes down, triggering a random hostility with a nearby NPC etc... I seriously did not remember the game was this broken during its time.

AS LONG AS WE'RE SORRY IT'S OK. WE JUST CAN'T DO IT AGAIN.

c&c 11/10
I know that feeling, it's kinda entertaining however because Bethesda never made Fallout in the first place.

OP: Either your companion thought Killian was suddenly a foe, or Killian friendly-fired 'im and caused an infighting. That's what happens in FO1 because the NPCs following you through the game were just made, thus are also hard to control. Get used to it like I did.
Besides, press the Enter key to forcibly exit combat.

Not much, actually. Feel free to do as you please in the post-apocalyptic world of Fallout, take those dogtags off Killian and show 'em at the casino!

Just punch everyone to death in every location - that's what I do. Someone looked at you funny? Powerfist to the face!
