You can holster a gun by pressing the B key while the other item slot in your inventory is empty, it's a trick and hint I got from another source just in case I have to fight out of a sticky situation.
Already restarted and I'm past it now, thanks for the tip about just hitting B :)
Indeed, very nice touch. Put my weapons to better use in the radscoprion cave!
I don't know about that. In Witcher 3 you can't have your weapon drawn or the guards will attack and citizens will freak out. In GTA 5 cops attack you if you draw weapons and citizens freak out. It's a pretty normal mechanic in rpgs. You run around with holstered weapons here.
