Best Tag Skills?

Both Nearly Ultimate Fallout Guides, for 1 and 2, recommend that you tag Small Guns, Lockpick, and Speech. Of course if you arent using Small Guns, you can tag Melee Weapons or Unarmed. And if you are a Dimwit, you won't be using Speech.

In Fallout 2, I tend to get the Tag perk to choose a fourth tagged skill due to the higher level cap.

My Snipers and Burst Fire characters tag Small Guns, then get Tag to either tag Energy Weapons or Big Guns, while Hth characters tag Melee Weapons then use Tag to get Unarmed.

With Dimwits, I tend to tag Small Guns and Big Guns since Dimwits are best as burst fire characters due to the lower amount of skill points they get, meaning they won't be able to snipe as good as normal intelligence characters if they need to use other skills.

What I want to know is what are the best skills to tag other than Small Guns, Lockpick, and Speech?

Sneak, Gambling, Barter. I don't even tag small guns unless i'm trying to play a sniper character since how easy it is to rush energy weapons/big guns.

Is Lockpick even worth tagging if you can use lockpicks and their electronic versions which increase your skill when you use them?

Probably Science.

Edit: I just remembered you can upgrade science with books, so just get speech.
Energy Small and Speech.

you cant upgrade speech with books.
So, i guess it's speech.

Not really since the lock pick bonus should be able to get you to a decent skill point to at least have a chance of passing all skill checks. Especially since you can just keep repeating lock pick until you succeed. If you Jam the lock just wait till after midnight and try again. There's also very few instances where you will need to actually use the skill. I can only name like 9. Vault 13 supply room, Freeing Tandi, Killian's safe, Gizmo's room, the Thieves Guild, the Cathedral doors, the BoS entrance, the Military base and the Glow.
