Having trouble running past the Mutant Lieutenant

So, I have reached the Military base, and I saw a video, that a person ran past after trying to get Having trouble running past the Mutant Lieutenant to punch you, I do the exact same, but when I go back to the locker, he pulls out his weapon and kills me. I have tried to do the combat trick, I get to the room with the computer, and I can not do it since I am in combat

You looked at the speedrun, didn't you? It's probably because his game was unpatched and thus Lou didn't open fire. It's easier if you try to fight him while ducking away behind walls.

You can do the military base without ever meeting or talking to the leutenant. How are you gettin in? Letting the super mutants bring you there, if so then you're gonna be at a disadvantage.

Try going straight to the military base and shooting your way in, that way you can deal with minimal super mutants, and bypass the big bad guy in the basement by just going into the computer room and starting the meltdown.

"Fixit"? You mean Mr. Fixit for Fallout 2? It's Fallout Fixt. What I'm saying is he had the original, unpatched game. Think "v1.0 like Zelda OoT with the chanting in the Fire Temple" for an association.

You can instead just use a radio outside the place and trick the mutants into leaving so you can sneak in, you may also have to put on a robe (if you have one) to easier convince the mutants inside that you are one of them or a Child of the Cathedral that needs to pass through.

I just worked my way through letting the brotherhood get me entrance and when i got to the last level with him i made Lt's guards come after me and killed them and him and i 1v1'ed since his Hp is around 250 and strength is 10. just save before the robobrain room and do your best.

With the Fallout Fixt patch, I had 2 of the 3 Crack Paladins enter the Military Base with me, made short work of everything in there.
