Hydrophonic Farms in Adytum, a bug?

Alright, so I'm in Adytum attempting to do a quest for Miles. The quest is simple, venture into the deathclaw playground and retrieve some parts off a dead body. Well as it turns out I've killed all the deathclaws and the deathclaw mom. It took me a while and a few trips to the Hub for some stimpaks. The body and the parts are no longer there and I can't reload to an earlier save. Is there something I did wrong?

I'm not 100% sure, but I think you have to get it without leaving the area. I believe if you leave and come back the body will be gone.
Apparently I'm wrong. The vault says the parts will be on the ground if the body disappears.

I'm aware that the body disappears once you leave the area, though the item is gone. However, being the airhead that I am, I wasn't aware that it wasn't the only item exclusive to the mission. I've been able to find another item to complete it. Thank you though.

You can still find the item by hovering the pointer cursor over the area where the body was, the item on the ground will be highlighted with a yellow outline for picking up.

It's "junk" that you're looking for. I left the area after repeatedly killing deathclaws, and I found it on the ground lying next to a (coincidentally) recently deceased deathclaw. Alternatively, you can pick up a junk from inside the building that Jake stays in at the Hub.

I just struggled with this for ages before I figured out that the parts were under the blood stain haha, I could only click on them on like one specific pixel
