I like the absolvement of Valve there.
Well, nobody knows. But something in my head says that valve is in some way responsible for this. Gog is becoming a big "problem" for them so I wouldn't discard that Valve offered something to Bethesda for putting fallout only here. It's my humble opinion.
Bethesda benefits from this putting a not very reasonable price to these games since if you want to buy them, you will have to make it here or nothing.
PD: In fact this is a big punch for Gog because this franchise (excepting 3 and NV) is old as hell, which is supposed to be the special kind of games that GoG is able to offer, so this have even more sense for me.
PD2: Maybe you were being ironic, sorry for not getting it if that was the case.
PD3: Yes. 99% that you were being ironic :P. Then I guess that we are agree.
This has been a known fact of Beth for a long time now, dont be surprised if what you guys say is true.
Never going to happen, there is no reason to add those to this game, and to be perfectly honest, it would force gameplay differently.
You run the risk with doing anything to this series for the same reason FFVII has not been redone. Sure, you may get some extra sales from a few people that havent played it. HOWEVER, the bigger "fallout" is actually going to come from the players that actually went through this gem originally.
If it aint broke.... and all that jazz.
I already have my ♥♥♥♥♥ with Beth about the changes they made to FO1, and that was just simple quest screw ups. If you played the original and this, you know what I mean.
Other than Skyrim, I don't get Bethesdas pricing. Or should I say Valves, and Bethesdas. Why was Morrowind and Oblivion more expensive than Skyrim... and Fallout 3 and New Vegas...
Besides, Valve stated before that they won't be doing exclusives for their SteamOS, so it doesn't seem like they think exclusivity is a valid strategy.
Probably there because they had nothing to do with it.
Screw em, Wasteland 2 has picked up the torch now.
The Games are playable and come with modern resolution options. They work perfect on modern Window Operating Systems. Thank You, Bethesda.
Yeah, Bethesda is so generous you can get their older games for great prices. Morrowind is only 13 years old and is going for the low low price of $20.
I agree with you games like Morrowind should not be retailing at $19.99 even if it is the game of the year edition. The Orange Box retails at $19.99 still but that came out in 2007 I believe where as GOTY from Morrowind is from 2003... so yea this Fallout collection and Morrowind should actually drop down in price to $10.
Single games from before 2006 without any extra content should be even cheaper like $5. Bethesda is definitely not alone in over pricing their old games though but we the customers should stand up and demand better prices.
