Izo will not leave the door way.

Currently playing Fallout Fixit and starting the Gizmo quest in Junktown. Izo, the bodyguard takes me outside, I get the bug and tape recorder, but when I come back Izo is still in the door way and will not move. I've tried waiting a whole day and reloading the save. But nothing works.

Something I recall having the same or very similar problem. Probably the AI Izo crashed because it was blocked by one of your companions. Here only load game can help.

I had this issue. You have to restart from the beginning of Junktown, don't go to Gizmo first. Go to Killian and do that encounter. This is what I did:
1. I talked to Killian
2. kill the guy trying to kill him
3. Killian glitches out so I rob him of his stuff on his table
4. I leave and re-enter the zone and then he speaks to me about having me help record the confession
5. I go see fat Gizmo and get the confession
6. Return to Killian and help him kill Gizmo
7. Do the dirty deed and get loot

Unfortunately that wasn't the issue. I went in by myself this time and he still stood there.

Is there a dialogue option I'm missing? I get to 4. and he never brings up Gizmo.

He should automatically bring it up and say thank you for saving his life.
