WHERE DO I FIND THE ELEVATOR SHAFT ROPE FOR VAULT 15?

Im stuck at the beginning of the game and I do not know where the rope which makes it possible to go down the elevator shaft in vault 15 is. Would really appreciate it if someone could help.

Shady Sands. It's inbetween Vault 13 and 15. The guy at the entrance has one and there's another in a house.

take some time after you finish the water chip quest do finish the side quests.
once you finish the 2nd half of the main quest (the super mutant ones) the game will end and you CANT do any more exploring of the wasteland or any more of the side missions.

Well, beating the other main quest after the previous one counts as the endgame. If you take the Military Base first you still gotta do the Cathedral.

So I got the rope from the guy that works at the fields. I can’t seem to find the other one. Help??!!

There is another rope in a locker in vault 15 on a lower floor.

after i go down that level i cleared out everything and i seem to be lost from there, what do i do after i get to the last level? i cant find anything inside the vault??

You must have missed the update in the bottom left text box. You can scroll though it by clicking on it in which direction you want it to scroll at the edges. It basically said you get exp and it says you will have to search elsewhere for the chip.

There are two ropes in Shady Sands and both of them are in the same map. The bookcase in the house and the other in towards the southeastern part in a small hut.

yeah, i found the ropes and killed everything in that vault and i dont know what to do from there, im stuck walking around the vault looking for something i cant find, if i did miss the update that i have to look somewhere else where should i look?
