Can't Pick up any plasma Rifle in the game?

As the title says. I know i am not at max carry weight, I know its not my strength stat because I have tried to pick up a plasma rifle with 6 and above strength. The gun runners wont even sell me a plasma rifle, it just jumps out of my inventory every time I try to barter for it. Any solutions?

Sounds like you are at max carry weight. Strength has nothing to do with your capacity to purchase a weapon.
