Fallout Fixt or Et Tu?

Heya, can anyone tell me which of these two you'd recommend me? I'm torn between the two. On one hand, I've heard Fixt's buggy and outdated but lets you get the good ending for The Hub and The Followers while letting you do Decker's quests without getting the bad ending for the former. On the other hand, Et Tu's more stable [so I hear], but you can't do Decker's quests without getting the bad ending for The Hub and the spy quest isn't included in Et Tu, whereas Fixt does include it. So, I guess I want Restored content with QoL improvements and stability in my game. Choices, choices. Thoughts?

Yeah, but I'll be using control party members from sfall [the version that comes with Fixt or Et Tu], hopefully she's playable with that feature I just described in Et Tu. I know she is in Fixt. If not, I'll take your word for it.

If you want to play with better party members, Et Tu is the way to go. They are WAAAAAAAY more manageable and you dont need to use steal to manage their inventory.

Okay. Personally don't mind steal-bartering with companions to be honest. I however appreciate the way Fallout 2 does it, which works in Et Tu's favor, I suppose. Also, at least one youtuber streamed Et Tu and still got the bad ending for the followers [didn't seem like he was good at the game anyway]. Whaddya think chad? You're cool with chad, right?

Besides the inventory management, just the fact that you can toggle burst fire or not with Ian is a huge W for Et Tu.

Like I said, Nicole and Laura needs to be alive ;)

More like never talked to Laura in the first place, or maybe he didn't change the invasion dates and did lots of unnecessary travelling on the world map. And he still acted like it was outta his hands due to how Lexx designed Et Tu. Fun fact, another Youtuber still got the hub bad ending but the Followers didn't get invaded in that playthrough. Nicole I'm not worried about as long as the Boneyard isn't invaded, but how do you keep Laura alive? With either The Cathedral or The Military Base as the endgame I mean.

Well.. from playing a bit of Fixt, I can tell you from experience that you can use the sfall ini that comes with Fixt to control companions in game. And I literally had Ian use an SMG from Vault 15 with only burst fire when killing the Khans. Ate up a lot of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ammo, though.

p.s. How do you turn off auto censor with comments here? Censorship really annoys me nearly every time. Especially when it's unnecessary.

The Hub will get the bad ending, if you've completed one of Decker's quest or havent completed the missing caravans.
You keep Laura alive by simply accepting Nicole's mission to infiltrate the cathedral, she will mention one of her spy there. After talkingto her and giving her the password, she will take you to a room, answer your questions and give you a key to the tower. She will shortly leave the Cathedral to report to Nicole.

Another W for Et Tu then haha, imagine just tinkering the files EACH time you need to have Ian to not act up.
I like to sometimes ask him to have burst and sometimes not, but thats just how I play personally.

I've been watching some of the Tim Cain videos on Youtube (good stuff, in my opinion) and just installed Fallout but figured there'd be a fan patch. Is Et Tu, based on a quick Google search, a mod for Fallout 2 that replaces the content with the original FO content? Any other changes?

Yep. It's literally Fallout 1 in the Fallout 2 engine or Fallout 1 in 2, so to speak. Basically Fallout 1 with Fallout 2's improvements. Hope that helps.
