Fallout 1 won't open

I've played through every fallout game except for 1 and 2, so I tried downloading them on my windows 10 pc to finally play through to completion. Unfortunately, every time I try and boot up either of these games, the windows I have open on my monitors freak out a bit, a black screen goes over my main monitor for a split second, and the game closes.

Id really like to play these games, but I cant find any solution online. If anyone has ideas please help.

Having the same issues man but it doesn't close, It mainly ends up just playing a looped sounds while trying to go into the window. Did you find a fix for this since making this post?

I had the same issue, im pretty sure those games just dont work on new software, but i know that there is a way to play these games by installing certain files that you can probably find on youtube, after that you shouldn't have these same issues.

Did you already go to your file location an try running the game in compatability mode?

try opening it from your library, and click classic mode when it asks you. that fixed it for me, hope it does for you too

just have to play in classic mode

Uninstall and reinstall the game > Turn off Mandatory ASLR in Windows Security for FalloutHR.exe or Fallout2HR.exe > launch the game
