Trip to The Glow

Hey guys, I'm about to go to The Glow for the first time and I need a couple things cleared up before I go there.

1. How much Rad-X should I take?

2. Exactly when should I take the Rad-X? (Before I enter it in the world map or when I enter it, hope that makes sense)

3. How much RadAway should I take with me?

4. Do my companions (Dogmeat and Ian) get radiation poisoning?

It's my first run of playing Fallout 1 and like I said before I'm going to The Glow for the first time so any tips would be appreciated!

take it when you get there, take at least 6 rad x pills with you 2 at once should give you 100% resistance.Npc's dont take radatation. a couple radaways should do you since you get it fixed at the BoS doctor
