Where do I find more small energy cells?

Got a Plasma Pistols and Cattle Prod, and I need ammo for them.
I'm currently in Necropolis.

gunrunners near boneyard must've these. perhaps they're only vendor. certain super mutant enemies've these too iirc.

Small energy cells dont work on plasma guns. For plasma guns you will need microfusion cells. You often can find it in super mutant loots or facilities. Also you can find it in a shed surrounded by radiantion (I guess it was located in boneyard). But in this shed you will need to complete a quest to get enery and microfusion cells.

Ammo problem is solved. However my character doesn't have a lot of points in Energy Weapons (22) and also has a ST of 5 sooo it can't handle big guns or any energy weapons.
Will I be able to finish with normal weapons (Combat Shotgun, Sniper Rifle, .223 Pistol, 10mm SMG, Super Sledge)?

definitely. sniper rifle + sneak can be super op if you've skill like 120% and aim your shots. lot can hang on getting good armor too.

You can get +2 str total from power armor and an implat you can get at the brotherhood. As for energy weapons being low, you could take the tagged perk to help increase it faster.

i think it's +3 str from power armor. my char'd base str 4 but at game end str 8.
