How do you highlight interactable objects?

I played this game not to long ago and I swear it was possible to do it. I've modded the game with the fixt thing so maybe whatever mod I need to be able to do it is installed.

Don't suppose you know if you can take weapons from your allies? I have the jinxed trait -_- and I dropped my knife, my companion decided to pick it up and steal it from me ;_;

You can exchange items with your companions but i dont remember what was jinxed trait exactly doing but i dont think its relevant

It does a lot of random things in combat, it's what caused me to drop my knife.

Use pickpocket on companions while they are following you to get their stuff. Also shift only shows objects you can pick up. For interactable objects, your going to have to use a little trial and error trying to interact with them in different ways.

Jinxed trait makes things like your weapon blowing up in your hand or dropping your weapon, or malfunction happen more often than a normal person, if I rememebr that right. Pretty sure the little description tells you what it does, but its kind of a fun "bad" trait, much like the bloddy mess trait, except jinxed has more negatives for you.

I never asked what the jinxed trait did, I knew what it did, I asked how I could trade with my companion because he decided to pick up my knife I dropped because of the jinxed trait.

Well I if you click on 3 then on the compainon you use "steal", and you can take and give items from them. but I usually use barter when i give things to compaions as you can give infinite amount of items that way. You can also barter with someone and get a inventory greater than max on your self. like if your at 150/150 weight, you can buy 100 worth of stuff and have 250/150 after the trade. and i have not noticed any downsides yet.
