Stuck at Vault 15

I recently picked up this game, and headed to Vault 15 after visiting Shady Sands. I know that you have to observe the command center to realize the water chip is not there, but no matter how much I click around and look at, I can't get the 500 XP and prompt that I will have to look elsewhere for the chip. Any ideas?

IIRC it was triggered when you moved your char near rocks, not from using look-at action.

I did walk around the area next to the rocks, but I didn't get the prompt.

You probably did and it probably just got jumbled in with the rest of the text

I thought this too, scrolled all the way up to the game loaded message. Is there a way to manually progress quests through a console?

Not without lot of effort :P

I really doubt you'll have any problems if you simply go south and start doing whatever; V15 is a dead end anyway, it's up to player to figure out where to go.

Not much in Vault-15 anyways its a waste of rope. Plus 500xp isnt that much, your game might be bugged, but its not to much of a lost just move on.

You get more xp just for heading back to vault 13 and talking to the one chick to settle down

Rope is not hard to come by though. You can have 8+ in about an hour of play lol
