Fallout

Fallout

is it just me, or is tthe original fallout art style better?
While there are some things I like about all the art styles(including some of FO4,s) I like this style the best, the problem with fallout 4,s is it never got to show its full potentional since it dident really live up to the concept art(Which is a shame)

As for fallout 1,s I find it much more intresting since it has that 80,s sci fi, in a good way.
It Also had flair and style to it that I love! That and I wish to see a fallout game with this art style in 3d, hell I would drop 30$ for a fallout remaster, that and just a remaster of all the FO games, at first I thought that it not being in first person was gonna be an issue, but this honestly plays alot better then at first glance.

Bethesda ruined Fallout the moment they added modern-looking technology. Fallout is more about what the future would have looked like if those old 50s comics came true. You know, like robots that look like vacuums and computers that take up entire rooms. The whole Bladerunner crap they did with Fallout 4 ruined it for me.

I mean fallout still has some moderness to it, BUT fallout with bethsda is more retro future then the older fallouts. Which is ok... but the art style is still fugly in some places.

even in fallout 1/2 it was RIFE with tech... dont know why you think the installments post fallout 1 (maybe 2) are any more futuristic...

if your refering to fallout 4 and sanctuary hills keep in mind that even in the real world there are different levels of wealth and living across the country, nora and nate are no doubt middle class or higher unlike residents on the outskirts of places like DC (fallout 3) who lived more or less basic lives with minimal tech integration.

as for the artstyle i felt it always stayed pretty consistent as far as graphical upgrades go (i.e robobrains / protectrons/etc)

Yes, of course the content they took from the previous games would look similar, it's the new things they've added that aren't true to the fallout theme.

RIFE with tech
Tech of what people in the 50s thought the future would look like and 50s pop culture films. Google old 50s science magazines, comics and sci-fi films; you'll clearly see where Fallout got it's influence from.

You can argue about execution but Androids is a classic sci-fi thing.
