Fallout 1 keeps crashing!
I love the classic Fallouts, and I want to play them as smoothly as possible, however, this game keeps crashing. At random points, the game just freezes up and crashes. Even worse, it literally restarts my computer, I have to log back into Steam and everything! I'm using the latest Teamx patch as well as the child mod. Maybe these might have something to do with it. Anyways if anybody can help me with this, please reply.

no its not the mods. i have the base game downloaded with no mods and the same thing keeps happening to me

this game was made for Win 98 and DOS, and hastily patched in 2014. I'd reccomend uninstalling all mods.

As noted above, it may need the settings switched to run in compatibility mode with said OS win98 win2000 etc.

This problem happens to me a lot. It's probably not the mods. I don't have any mods installed for it? How could I also fix this issue.

Like Deschain said, run it in Compatibility mode for Win98

just get a old computer and play it it will work better guarentee just trade your new computer for the old one cause the old computers run every game better it actually works i play csgo on my win98 machine

This but unironically, you could try running a Win98 Virtual Machine

This is not a bug but a feature. It also happened on the original version in windows 98 ;-)
