Beat up Garl

I beat him unconscious. Twice. With my sniper geared character. I'm still stuck in the damn ring. He even said 'you can have the ♥♥♥♥♥'(raiders are never polite).

I'm still stuck here, no idea how to progress, aside from occasionally taking another swing at Garl or a good kick where it hurts.

If knocking him out didn't work, do I have to kill him? Because that could take quite a while unarmed.

Yup, I had to beat him to death. So slowly.

Uhh, yeah, it's kinda introduced as a 'fight to the death.' I don't know why you thought it would be a 'fight to whoever's unconscious first.'

Because I swear that's what he said - fight to whoever gets knocked unconscious first. I knocked him unconscious three times. I had to in order to do any damage. Considering the ladies he had locked up and or cowed, I felt no remorse at stomping on his face and groin repeatedly until he carked it. Also I wasn't getting through armour otherwise. Apparently he was not wearing a cup.

I got his gear, I've still got a crippled arm so it's pistols for a while until that heals and I can start using a sniper, and it took me forever to find someone who could afford to buy his metal armour(too heavy) so I could just get leather.

It kinda plays like the fallout version of baldur's gate, only instead of thaco you have to wrap your head around, it's an odd inventory system.
