Stick 'n move. Take one shot then run, targeting it's legs until you get a crippling shot, which will reduce how far it can move per turn. Once crippled, keep on with the one shot and run, now targeting it's eyes for maximum damage.

If this doesn't work, table this quest for now until you can increase your weapon skills so you can land those targeted, critical hits more easily.

Plasmapistol? Really? Its even hard with the Turboplasmagun or the Lasergatling.

Use target shot to cripple the legs of the ♥♥♥♥♥. If you cripple both of them all you need to do is keep your distance, she will have to pay so many AP to just try (and fail) to get close to you that she is going to become almost harmless.
The basement itself is perfect for this since it gives you a lot of room to manouver.

A difficult point is that your companion shot other companion or you. I found that this problem was solved by giving them power fist or something. Katja is nice with power fist. Vault Dweller should wear power armor or other best armor. i think this is the best tactics.
