Which is better? Plasma rifle or minigun?

Plasma rifle is good. However, the laser version of minigun (i dont know if it applies to the regular version) can be deadly if there are no allies in front of you and you are really near your opponent, dealing 70-100 damage per shot.

Both have its advantages in different situations. The best overall weapon in the game is the Lasergatling in my opinion, followed by the Turboplasmagun. But you have to check many properties: Range, accuracy, weakness of the enemy you are fighting, your stats, ammoconsumption, weight and so on.

The plasma rifle is the undisputed king of all guns, and plasma damage resist is always far lower than normal resist.

Having high energy weapons skill also means you can use the gatling laser, which is a much better minigun than the big guns one, and the laser rifle, which is like the sniper rifle, but better. Big guns gets the rocket launcher and flamer.

The Turbo Plasma rifle can be cut down to 4 ap aimed shot or 3 ap per quick shot if you're playing without fast shot. With fast shot builds you can get a 2 ap cost.
