Fallout or Fallout Fixt ?

Hey Guys I wanted to know which is the best way to play fallout one. Just the steam version (in my case the german one) or fixt with content and fixes added. Is the Fixt version so much more recommened ? I dont know exactly the differences. I looked on the fixt site but still think I am better of to play just the steam version.For example modifying the resolution is also possible with the steam version thought thats only in fixt or is fixt also affecting the steam version ? I have tested both version at least the start havent seen much but looks the same.

Just play the vanilla edition. Fixt is actually for fixing (duh) so if it aint broken then dont fix it, period.
If normal version does not work, then swap to the other one.

I am kinda worried about the censor stuff. I heard in the censored version there a no childrens but also a lot of core got cut out.

There's a standalone fix enabling children, look up "Fallout 1 Children Patch" on google. All it does is add the missing sprites making them visible. Just copy the folder to your install dir, don't bother replacing the .exe, it's not even needed.
I don't think any gore has been cut out.
I also second playing the vanilla game, the fan-made content may be great, but it will always be controversial like any other fan-made changes. Best to try the original game and then patch it up on your second playthrough if you're so inclined.
And personally, I can't stand high-def patches, everything in the game becomes so tiny with them... but YMMV depending on your screen size, I guess.

In my case gore is probably cut out because I own the cut version the german version. Huh well playing the vanilla one doesnt sound bad my biggest issue are probably broken quest or anything glitched broken not working you know.
Any encounter with that in the vanilla version ?

Ohhh boy. Play the Fixt. I just lost my whole game save to a crash glitch in the Glow. If you're worried about the fan content, there is an option to just not include that in the installer.

The 'censored stuff' are useless, the only important change would be that children are invisible (although they are STILL in the game, somehow...) but anyways, the children are also useless since there's so little interaction with them.
And there is no gore cutted, if you feel like there's little of it then just go to options and set the GORE METER TO MAXIMUM , take the 'Bloddy Mess' option for more pleasure.
