Killian/Gizmo bug (SPOILERS in case you've never played)

Hi Folks,

I am having an issue with the Kilian/Gizmo quest in Junktown.

- I met Kilian and after I spoke to him an assassin showed up to kill Kilian
- I helped Kilian kill the assasin
- Killian asked me for help in ousting Gizmo
- I accepted
- Found Gizmo in his Casino and got the confession on tape
- went back to Kilian
- he asks me to help him and when I agree he sends me to Lars
- Lars asks if I'm ready, I click on yes, cut scene and Killian, Lars and myself are in a fight with Gizmo and his body guard in Gizmo's office
- we kill both Gizmo and the bodyguard, combat does not end unless I do one of two things;

1) exit the casino and eventually exit the grid which ends combat (no one attacks when I am leaving including the casino guards)
- when I do this the quest does not complete and I do not get the 500 caps for reward nor the xp

2) Instead I kill everyone in the casino, patrons, dealers and guards. Once I mop the floor with everyone combat ends, I receive the message that I completed the quest, get my 500 caps, cut scene back to the front of the guard house and immediately Lars starts shooting me

I have tried reloading and killing everyone in the casino with my fists only to try and avoid Lars shooting on me as I suspected it was because I was holding my shotgun.

However it does not matter what I do, I either lose the quest bonuses or I am ostracized and become a sworn enemy of Junktown.

My current workaround is to complete or try to complete the other quests in Junktown to avoid losing out on content and once I feel I have done all I need to do then complete the Gizmo quest and become perpetually hated...

If someone has a better suggestion or an actual fix please let me know.

Have you tried pressing the End Combat button?

Thanks BB for the tip. I tried end turn unfortunately because there are still "guards" in the casino, when you click on end turn the combat does not end because of the guards even though they don't attack you. To end the combat I need to walk off grid which so far yields the best result.

The best outcome I've had so far was to get the XP, get the quest completed but lose out on the 500$ caps and if there is content with Kilian when you talk with him after killing Gizmo.

Every time I speak with him it's the "Oh it's you.." greeting, I would of though you would get a warmer reception for helping the guy oust his worst enemy...

Not a horrible outcome was hoping there was a known fix.

You clicked on End Turn, not the one for Combat. That's your problem.

If you want to make life a little easier, there's a keyboard shortcut guide if you press the F1 key!

Thanks for the heads up! I did feel a bit like a door nob once I saw the end turn function and yes I also found the hot key guide online..

And for everyone else whom this imight help...

Hitting "enter" also ends the turn..
