Gun Runner's Deathclaw Quest
I received a quest from the Gabriel, the Gun Runner leader in the Boneyard Fortress, to destroy the Deathclaws.

Two questions:
1. Where is this Deathclaws lair? I killed two Deathclaws on my way to see Gabriel. Surely, this cannot be the solution to the quest?
2. What is the recommended XP level to tackle this quest? I am at level 8, with 104% in small weapon. I have only one companion, Ian. Do the Deathclaws attack in swarm?

Thanks in advance.

There is a stairway down on the deathclaw map.

Like the guy aboard said, there's a lair downstairs. When you go down, you'll meet deathclaw mother. And she's tough. Really tough. And I don't think you should go try her with only 100 small guns.
If you haven't killed mother, deathclaws in surface will respawn in every 1 hour. Each deathclaw gives you 1000 xp, this can be the best farming place.

Thank you both for your inputs. Thanks for the warning. Fortunately for me, I got lucky (had to use 3 super stimpacks and 1 buffout) and survived after three reloads.

Any thoughts on how to improve AP? I could really use another 3 or 4 points. Thanks again.

You can get perks that either give you more ap or have certain actions cost less ap if you meet the special requirments to get them.

These would be "gain agility", "action boy", "bonus move", "bonus hand to hand attacks", "bonus rate of fire", and "quick pockets"

You could also get the Mutate perk to change one ( or add another if you have one or none) of your traits to gifted (+7 special points that you can place anywhere at the cost of -10% in all skills and 5 less skill points per level), fast shot (which attacks cost less but with the disadvantage of not being able to use aimed shots) or small frame (+1 agility but 50 less carryweight).

There are also implants you can get for each special if you have enough money like New Vegas minus the endurance = how many you can get restriction.

Be careful my friend. Deathclaws are INSANELY hard in this game. I came to this game from fallout 4 thinking they were easy and found out they weren't the hard way. I tried several times to do this quest but I couldn't beat it until I had a plasma rifle and power armor, and energy weapons at 200%. Maybe I'm just an overprepping noob, but I'm just throwing out the warning.

Oh and eye aimed shots are your best friend. Better than head shots as its crit multipler is much higher.

Using perks is useful when knowing which ones to choose, but getting perks for me is a long process--I need four XP levels just to get only one. However, I like this "implants" you talked about. Where do I find them?

Lost Hills Bunker? Where is this place? Just a compass point with respect to Vault 13.

Lost Hills Bunker is the place the map will take you when you press the "BROTHERHOOD" button. I don't think it's explicitly called the Lost Hills Bunker in this game.

I looked up Lost Hills location (it is associated with the Brotherhood). It may be too early in my game for me to go there. Thanks for your input.

It's called it that in maxson's logs. I thought it was called it that on the floor map but that may have been from a mod or fonline.
