Burst Mode

Early in the game I picked up a 10mm SMG. It can only fire SINGLE round at a time. I read the game manual about BURST mode, but it doesn't mention how to switch over to BURST. I clicked on the word SINGLE, hoping it would change to BURST, but it still fires SINGLE. Did I find a single-round SMG? Or is there something that I did not do correctly?

Right click on SINGLE if i remember right
