I really like this free roam mode. Having small tasks to do (like from a tasklist paper sheet, for example) would be nice. But on a more basic level it would be also nice to be able to lie down or sit down and get back up again, put the backpack down again or put up a tent! :D (and eat a sandwich). Yes. This may sound weird, I know.

I like talking to Delilah. I miss being able to talk to her about everything i find. i think it would complete the free roam mode if i would be able to talk to delilah. idk tho just a thought. well not really. What I'm saying is that i miss talking to Delilah and i think it should be added to the free roam mode

How does this new mode compare to The Long Dark's gameplay? I've been interested in buying FW for a while now, but the lack of a free mode made me hesitant, now that it exists how much like TLD is it?

@Jab_Punch It isn't. It's just exploration, Firewatch has no survival elements. The Long Dark is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ nightmare of death of cold.

I took a two day hike to try to explore therofare lookout but i geuss that is only in story

would be amazing if there were some little side quests, like picking up trash, or putting out fire camps, and stuff like that.

Its a pretty neat idea for people that have finished the game, but I have a few suggestions. 1: Multiplayer would be pretty cool. Having a bunch of people roaming around the map and saying hello when they pass each other. Now if you did add that there would be some needed things like gestures like waving or voice lines. Or if you still want multiplayer but you dont want a bunch of people, you can give players the ability to get in a party and play the story mode or you could create a new story mode or side missions. 2: Side missions would be a thought in making the free roam more interesting. Dont get me wrong the game is fantastic, I just dont think that people will want to roam around the already known map. 3: New maps would be cool like a snowy mountain or a dangerous desert and there can be new things to explore like easter eggs or tiny collectables that you could add to a collection. You dont have to listen to me at all, these are just a few things I thought would be cool!

This uppdate is amazing! Its so much fun just to walk around too!!! only problem is i cant get rid of the "listen to casette tape" icon :(
