Game Crashes upon Startup
Hello - I went back to play this game after 2 years and there is a startup issue that won't let me open the game at all. After opening the game, before any loading screen, there is a popup that reads:

"The game crashed. The crash report folder named "2019-12-16_114834" next to game executable. It would be great if you'd send it to the developer of the game!"

I looked up the error, and tried the recommendations from everyone, however the same error occurs. I am using the same computer I did two years ago, so perhaps there is an issue due to an update?

Would the error file and output log be helpful to solve this issue? Should I post it here or send it to someone?

Thank you.

I too have the same issue. I'll try sending my logs to Firewatch support if you haven't already.

Has anyone found an answer to this issue

I got mine fixed. Found the solution through Steam forums. The "Citrix Indirect Display Adapter" was causing this crash for me. I disabled it in Windows 10 "Device Manager" and the game then loaded fine.
Hi uncle_tek. Did you do anything else apart from disable the Citrix Indirect Display Adapter? I've disabled that in Device Manager, but Firewatch still crashes immediately upon launch from Steam.
Ahh... did you mean "Uninstalled" rather than "Disabled" ? I followed the advice in https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/hearthstone/t/oops-the-game-crashed-while-using-citrix/2550/19 and as soon as the display adapter was fully uninstalled then Firewatch launches ok.

:) I only had to disable it. I got lucky I guess.

I had the same crash, and had to Uninstall the Citrix Indirect Display Adaptor. Disabling wasn't enough. Thanks for the tip though.
