Firewatch uses your current Mac resolution. Here is the problem – because HiDPI is enabled on Mac by default, whatever resolution you choose in settings (e.g., 1440x900), mac will still use your max resolution (e.g., 2800xsomething). The goal is to set Mac resolution to your target resolution without HiDPI
1) Download BetterDisplay
2) Open Built-in display in Displays
3) Find System Configuration and Smooth Scaling.
4) Enable Custom Scaled Resolutions
5) Add the desired resolution (for me, it's 1280x800).
6) Apply
7) Reboot
8) Click on BetterDisplay in the top bar
9) Select the desired resolution (e.g., 1280x800) and disable HiDPI (it's necessary!)
10) Play
