Game Won't Work

Launches quickly, main menu runs smooth but no menu music? Idk, but when I go to create my first save file it gives me a screen with the logo and doesn't go anywhere from there. It doesn't crash but it never goes anywhere I waited about an hour and nothing. I'm so confused, no one online seems to have the same issue.

same problem here... got a high end laptop as well.. maybe it's something to do with windows 10? Not working on my other laptop that runs windows 10..

This is a bit incorrect... The game works fine on windows 7-10, but will not work on 32-bit windows installations at this time.

However, I'm betting the issue here is that you're on a laptop that isn't running using the dedicated GPU. Read the top of this post about switching that on: http://steamcommunity.com/app/383870/discussions/1/412446292776132295/

We're working with NVidia to get Firewatch enabled by default in a future mobile GPU driver update however we don't know when that driver will be available yet.

We're working with NVidia to get Firewatch enabled by default in a future mobile GPU driver update however we don't know when that driver will be available yet.

I got a geforce gtx 680M (msi gs70 2pc) for the record :) I hope it get fixed soon! ^^ I want to test this game out, my computer can easy take games like stranded deep, euro truck 2, wow, cod mw3 at high/full resolution..

Get us a software update quick! :)))

Generally issues like that are because you're not forcing the Nvidia card via the Nvidia control panel

Please refer to the sticky on how to do that if you're not familiar

Well.. not working for me..
it's really strange.. It is perfectly smooth at the main screen, but I get stuck half way loading after going to a new save.. as Sorbs is saying

Well... I did manage to get it to work... :'-D I downloaded a pirate copy (sorry).. installed it and launched it up.. couldn't move in the elevator.. Deleted the pirat version. Launched up the game (steam) and abra kadabra I could load the save file on the steam version (that I got from the pirate) and It worked!! ;D
Maybe its something to do with the create new game on laptop's..

The game stores the savds in the appdata of your user foldr so thats a bit of an odd thing...

if none of the above stepps worked for you guys try this because i dont have a DX11 support card apparently so the best work around is to force the game to accept DX9. so basically for those with a non DX11 video card u can play the game by forcing it into DX9 through you launch options Right Click gamename > Properties > Launch Options> in launch options type in ( -force-d3d9 ) no parenthesis. and bam game should no longer crash at start up and it runs pretty smoothly (This does not fix the intel graphics still need something other than integrated graphics)
