Delilah Was Mean To Henry
I just finished the game and i was not happy with how Delilah was talking to Henry, i know that that's her kind of humor but she was rude a lot of the time.

It's not even about not meeting Delilah. I honestly kind of expected that would happen. But it feels like the plot - what actually happens in the game, and the backstories of Delilah and Henry - was all build-up and no payoff. They had the set-up for a fantastic mystery story there, and it had me intrigued all the way through. But when the "twist" turned out to be that Ned caused his son's death, it just felt like a cheap cop-out. The entire final act of the game felt pretty rushed, to be honest... there's no real payoff. It's an ending that leaves more questions than it answers, and it feels shallow and disappointing. While making my way to the evac point, I was convinced there was some kind of swerve coming - something that would throw a new light on things, turn the story around - but that moment never came.
Don't get me wrong. I've enjoyed my time with Firewatch. But it feels like the writers set up this huge intriguing mystery and then just... fumbled it. Failed to make anything out of it.

**spoiler warning**

I sadly agree. Instead of it being Ned all along, there could have been government involvement, Henry could have been kidnapped while in that facility you discover, has to escape ect. (just an idea)

When ♥♥♥♥ started to hit the fan, like when you discover the transcript and you get attacked, to hearing whomever was listening cough over the walkie talkie, I was engrossed, the game had me so paranoid by the fact someone was listening to me. Then when I realise there is no actual threat I felt empty inside.

Especially when we never actually got to meet D, it made me feel the worst. I could handle her rejecting me, not wanting to come with me to Boulder, but the fact she didn't even wait for me or even meet me was saddening

(Spoiler Warning)

I've played through this game three times now. Am I the only one that caught moment when naming the first fire that she said 'I'd like to get with you after the summer'? Even without the rest of that rather intimate dialogue, that seems pretty indicative of an extended relationship - whether good friends or more. Don't have to be bed buddies or ring-cuffed to enjoy companionship. Moreover I can understand her having him wait until things are settled, but the way she speaks in all endings is that she's walking away and completely blowing him off as loose luggage.

They'd had plenty of trauma before that moment and still kept together. Hell they thought two girls were likely dead and Henry was being framed for it, along with the potential case of being stalked by a murderer (or multiple). Seems a shift that (not in all cases, mind you) is a bit out of character for me, and while the story was great all the way up to sitting down at that radio, I feel the very end dialogue was a cutoff in the story. Maybe 'cop-out'? Perhaps too strong of a term. Definitely feels like a writer got tired of writing, or that the thought was 'yay we're done this is great lets end it right here it's fine!' Sure...it works, and the rest is great, but still diminishes from the overall sensation. No hate to the devs here given that the game is excellent. Just a great disappointment in the closing portion.

If you had stopped attempting to cheat on your wife, the ending is actually pretty chill.
Necro of the ages but Henry's wife is as good as dead by the events of the game, so this is a dumb thing to say.
