Examine Flora Poster
I believe I may have broken the quest trigger for the Examine Flora Poster mission. I accidentally hiked to Cottonwood before examining the poster a second time and so I loaded to get back to the tower. I went back up and examined the poster and it gave me the prompt to hike to Cottonwood but the prompt was replaced with examining the poster again. However, this time I could not examine the poster. I figured I should hike to Cottonwood, but nothing triggers there. So it seems the quest triggers might have got screwed up and now I have a dead save file.

Any help would be awesome even if rolling back to an earlier save or something.

No, you have to walked to the stream that's west of the tree. There it should give you a prompt to talk to the chick. There's a storage box over there with the code 5678 in case you can't get the dialog prompt to pop up.

So no, you're right, you're good...I had the "Examine poster" thing too when I got the story to progress.

Edit: just to make sure you're going the right way you want to turn your back to the red ski laying against the tree and walk in the direction. If you're facing North with the tree on your right you want to go left.

I literally just hopped in to try again and did the extra bit to get to the stream and everything is good. Damn that was a bit confusing though. Thanks for the fast response though.

No problem. I was about to reload the game or walk back to my post when I found that. They certainly should have been more specific about what to do because while the Cottonwood tree get's you close to where you need to go nothing tells you that you have to walk 100 feet in one direction to get to a certain specific area to progress.
