Stuttering audio/framerate on macOS: disabled Bluetooth audio fixed it for me

I wanted to play Firewatch on macOS but I experienced issues with choppy/stuttering audio and the framerate was not great either. After quitting Firewatch I had issues with other audio being choppy as well.

When I disconnected my Bluetooth headset and just played audio over my Macbook speakers, the issue was gone and the game ran smooth on Ultra settings.

This also just happened to me. Never had a problem with these headphones for years but this game disconnected them a couple times and caused a lot of stuttering. Nothing too serious, I enjoyed the game, but it was annoying.
