Rather than a Firewatch 2, another gentle, characterisation-focus mystery would work just as well. These folks did a great job so I can totally understand why you'd want more, but the setting and such would probably need to be switched up so much that it would be less 'Firewatch 2' and some fresh title y'know?
That said, the little fan within me wouldn't mind some continuation of Henry's story, but the thematic isolation and the lack of NPCs would probably be real hard to write for, assuming they don't switch up the engine to one that deals with active NPCs rather than set pieces.
