What's the point of the open world?

So I just finished the game.. I had a number of things I would have done as a tester or product lead to improve this game, very simple to add some story elements and challeneges in this world. But it's great, so they don't need my two cents. However, having finished the game now I loaded up the open world portion, played two minutes and shut it down. There's nothing that made me want to play it despite wanting more out of the game. Did you guys play the open world and was it a waste of time or is it worthwhile to wander around again?

And then what do you get for completing all the achievements?

Basically, people asked for it since that feature was not available and the Devs, while not obligated to do it, made it happen.

So it's a nice, free bonus feature where you can freely roam and wander in the map, exploring every inches of the map, just for fun. No other point really.

I get it now. That's cool. Would have been great if they made a DLC with another story line.

Main reason was to see if i could go visit Delilah, the rest roamed around to see if i missed anything.
