Over the past month, we’ve done a lot of work and added the ability to fight with other organisms in the game! We’ve already designed the starting location for the Public Demo and planned dozens of organisms that will inhabit it.

We’re incredibly excited and already exploring the possibility of adding an editor to the Internal Demo, giving you the chance to create your own locations and creatures. Some of them could even be included in the final version of the game! 👀

Hi, micro-engineers and biology nerds!
Yesterday our team played the first solid prototype of «Bioneers». This build took us about 3 months to put together.

As expected, the prototype is still rough: plenty of bugs, some placeholder or missing icons, unbalanced movement, no effects yet, and lots of small details that will add the “juice” later on.

But despite that, it’s already a functioning organism that you can create, evolve and control!

Here’s what we have implemented so far:
✅ Movement System v1 & v2 — from basic locomotion to directional swimming across the map
✅ Nervous system
✅ Protein synthesis from amino acids
✅ Cell damage & health mechanics
✅ Photoreceptor mechanics that expand the visible area

Currently in Development:
∙ Cell residue mechanic
∙ Transport system
