Dead Island 2 has no drivable vehicles
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wrMcj79OStI&feature=youtu.be

One of my favorite memories of Dead Island was driving around in the vehicles with my friends as well as just messing around with them. It seems a weird choice to not have drivable vehicles in dead island 2.. especially since its in LA. What are your opinions on this?

I just find it odd that there are so many cars in LA, but none drivable in game lol.

its ravaged by earthquakes and wildfires it wouldn't even make sense to have cars you'd only be able to drive like 10 ft and then have to get out because of ♥♥♥♥ obstructing your path but ye so what? it's not like they were that good in dead island 1 they were more of a gimmick or a laugh not something that was actually all that integral to the core game outside of the 1st area in the game

It did actually. The vehicles are linked to the key story missions, you go through about 3 different cars.

Perhaps the most insane car segment, was trying to drive through that tightly packed town. I imagine most of Dead Island 2 is tightly packed by design, haven't played it yet. But it would make sense to strip vehicles out. The town from Dead Island 1 would be seen as poor game design if released today sadly.

wasn't one of the big points in the OG trailer a car mowing down zombies?

so far the maps are pretty linear cut and do not lend to driving around.
you go from one house to the one next door and you go through back yard paths. the streets are blocked and gated so im not sure where anyone would be able to drive.
the maps so far are extremely detailed and very well done. there are not that many zombies in one place you basic encounter a couple of them and they are a handful to deal with. driving over them would be too easy. they give you all sort of environmental hazards to deal with them. weapons are limited, break easy and best left to finished them off.

REFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUND!!!!!!!
Eh, the maps in 2 aren't really suited for driving on. Narrow streets that are cluttered with various wreckage.

The yaeger build of the game that was leaked like 2 years ago had drivable vehicles, but they decided not to have them in the dambuster version. It's not the end of the world though just a bit of an annoyance.

Not really vehicle friendly. Most roads are blocked by earthquake damage, fires, wrecks, collapsed roads, military checkpoints, etc.

You spend a good amount of time in houses and buildings too
