How do I kill a thug?

Hey there. Love this game but I'm getting owned by the thugs. I molotoved the first one, but can't seem to kill the next one at the gas station. Any tips on how to kill one? I'm playing as the blade specialist.

couple ways
1. side step till behind it
2. molotov or explosives
3. stagger it(headshot it with melee, guns or shock mod)
p.s. also as a blade specialist myself

aim for the head and hit
step back and wait until he hits the air

just wait for him to swing his arms, then attack. rinse repeat. you can cripple or cut off his arms too, which makes him only able to attack with a headbutt

The best and fastest way to deal with Thug as Xian is to throw your blades at them. 1-3 throws are usually enough to kill a thug. Quick and safe and won't damage your weapons durability. Blades also stuck on em, so easy to pick em up again.

Back then i try to get close, kick and while they are roaring, i slash them. But it's usually too risky and slow.

get close to bait swing, back up as soon as you see the wind up, then get back in as quick as you can after they swing and focus on one arm until it gets cut off, go for two swings, then back out and rinse repeat on the other arm, after both arms are gone it should be easy for the most part to dodge the bite and they should be low health at this point. pro tip: watch for when they lean forward because thats the triple swing which can often instakill you especially if you arent very high on health. Usually i save thugs for last because its easy to lure other zombies out of its range and then easy to deal with thug alone.

i hated those guys, what i usually do is
* hit his arms when he is shouting
* kick it to stagger
* keep hiting the arms till its broken
* go for the legs with blade
yes i know this technique is kinda lame but just saying
