Bugs we've encountered
Here I will document with video any possible bugs I find or can reproduce from other players. If you're reporting a bug here please verify your game cache through Steam first (to ensure all your files are valid).

-Missing collision on signs & small poles:
https://youtu.be/-gKMGqtdR7c
You can drive (& walk) through them. They can be knocked over if struck with a weapon but sometimes that fails to work. This happends with all other similar small signs & poles as well.

-Zeds can move through & get stuck in the back of trucks:
https://youtu.be/3Q0OjhyMKFM
When jumping or running around trucks, zombies can sometimes walk through &/or get stuck in the back.

-Can no longer kick beach balls:
https://youtu.be/q3cDwiUhcc8
Not a huge deal but as you can see, with some of the original placements they intended you to kick them. In the original game you could kick these balls at teammates & zombies (inflicted very minor damage)

-Invisible blockage in lifeguard station:
https://youtu.be/1LTsnSMxDlk
Some kind of rectangular shaped invisible blockage

-Vending machine clipping into wall at lifeguard station:
https://youtu.be/OI-W7kpMIK8
Ofton when migrating content in engines things get offset. The vending machine could be moved over slightly.

-Pinboards reversed texture
https://youtu.be/C3cObVJ7Bdg
These pinboards have a reversed texture. They are used in more places than shown in the video.

-Missing player collision
https://youtu.be/Rgw5NszWhYE
These circular shrubbery all down the beach (& elsewhere throughout the resort) do not have player collision. You can just run in there & zombies will not follow. I sort of it like but seems unfair (zombies gotta eat too).

-Survivor using radio voice upclose
https://youtu.be/ay8JcqjUbF4
As I approached this survivor, with us being face to face, his first two lines of dialogue sounded like it came over a radio. (I missed recording the first sentence spoken)

-Unable to click option
https://youtu.be/5uNlvOiQ67g
As I clicked to choose & activate the "Blunt Expert" skill. I found myself unable to submit a "yes" or "no" by clicking, I ended up just pushing "enter" to move past the screen. (This didn't happen while clicking to activate any previous skills thus far)

-1st person hand texture does not match (Xian Mei)
https://youtu.be/B03lAiCz114
The 1st person hand texture of Xian Mei doesn't seem to match her 3rd person texture.

-Flickering texture (Electricity symbol)
https://youtu.be/RKBwMFiLaDA
The electricity symbol at the location in the video flickers on & off.

-Held objects flickering
https://youtu.be/WO3nWirej4c
The textures of the brown box (used for stacking, ect), Juice box & Fuel Tank will flicker when held. The red explodable tank does not have this problem

-Mercury(& black) blood:
https://youtu.be/PZbnx_YpW0U
Something very wrong with the reflection or color of blood, results in chome (& black) blood.

-Coughing invisible women in lifeguard station
https://youtu.be/ATSlyAbwGzw
You can hear her but can't see her. She is very shy & very sick

-No character shadow
https://youtu.be/FdepnKCNKfI
You can still see shadows of other players, but In this version of the game you can not see your own shadow.

-Can no longer drown zeds
https://youtu.be/4wZZgIr1SVQ
In the original DI zombies could drown. If their face went below the water line they would start taking damage. You would see the damage pop up as well (if had that hud option enabled)

-Floating restroom sign
https://youtu.be/FDvaifpFLa4
This sign seems to be suspended in the air. But then again, why Is it placed inside the room?

-Mesh gap
https://youtu.be/Tznk37zFy6c
Large mesh gap between terrain & objects.

-White mesh clipping though objects
https://youtu.be/yAO9B9P5XHo
This is during chapter 3 in the hotel. After talking to mike for the last time you will go down a hall near some stairs. In this hall there is a large white mesh clipping through walls & other objects.

-Map marker remnant
https://youtu.be/e3Q9ekXpXvw
If you place a map marker, an invisible square box with collision will be placed in that spot as well. Removing the map marker will remove the box.

-Music tracks overlapping
https://youtu.be/1NgMkqGj7t0
The tracks started overlapping during the mission to save amber. One track stopped as the mission updated.

-Water glimmer effect on wrong surface/area of sewer
https://youtu.be/txv4pbNYP3Y
A nice glimmer effect but looks out-of-place in this area

-Zed spawn in pipes of sewer
https://youtu.be/wZ7DhYBP1Og
poor guy

-Strange blockage between aisles
https://youtu.be/v3hdJ8OgnVM
In the last room of the supermarket. I ran into an invisible blockage somewhat unlike others. I could pass through if I look down while moving forward.

-Invisible Fence at Afran's Hideout
https://youtu.be/5hwWq6AncZI
Another invisible blockage, encountered after going up the stairs to progress the quest.

-Invisible blockage on jungle path
https://youtu.be/iDtLytvVK8A
This invisible block start before the wooden ramp. It's very difficult to get vehicles through the area.

-Laboratory loot problems
https://youtu.be/iiYSN8FzoK8
Throughout the areas you will only receive money, ammo (or nothing) from any lootable. A player has noted from comparing the original game files, the ",loot" file is missing from these areas.

-Layered ground material oddity
https://youtu.be/qgrcjv-e04M
Only encountered this in the area shown, The top ground material layer could be blended in better.

-Gate no longer opens/closes
https://youtu.be/6ouJKd8OZXs
In this version of the game, the gate at the start of the path to Ope's cave no longer opens/closes. Vehicles no longer have passage to Ope's cave.

-Strange Reflections
https://youtu.be/dEFURehseKc
two instances of these unusual reflections, they are nice effects but seem so out of place.

Originally posted by Alexander:
Luke Craig, the quest giver for Too Much Sugar located on Bungalow 20 among the Golden Bungalows, near the lighthouse road spawned in a weird way, floating above the ground.

EDIT: I paused and then I went back in game and he fell down.
Though this didn't happen to me with luke. Something similar happend to me with the strapped down zombie in the bedroom. When I first entered she was fine, I then went down that lil hall in the room. When I came back to the room she was standing straight up & moving her jaw around (she never attacked, she just stood there freaking me out). Sadly I wasn't recording at the time. But when I have time to go back & reproduce it I will post a video. Could be something messed up with NPCs pinned in place, in certain stances.

Adding more to the list:

-Can no longer drown zeds
https://youtu.be/4wZZgIr1SVQ

-Floating restroom sign
https://youtu.be/FDvaifpFLa4

-Mesh gap

-Unusual white mesh clipping though objects
https://youtu.be/yAO9B9P5XHo

Yea the Jenna Jameson zombie lol, I noticed that as well. It scared the hell out of me when I went back into the room after looting the chest and she wasnt strapped in no more and was just standing on the bead. Going back later she is strapped down again but if you go in back it happens again.

can't alt tab properly. game just converts to window.
Keyboard should be enabled for chat when using a controller or at least the enter key(chat). To chat you have to change controls back to keyboard and mouse from controller.

Sam-B's voice during a headstomp does not sound like him, But instead a white male. Kinda annoys me to the point of not wanting to headstomp anymore..

Stanley Garrison from Out of Stock quest also has a spawning bug, he is facing the wrong side and his arms are twitching.
owowg Jun 1, 2016 @ 12:20pm
Opening doors of beach cabins and bathrooms no longer makes a sound! You push and there's total silence. I checked the original game and it's definitely supposed to make a noise.

Quest bug for "Out of Stock". My last checkpoint yesterday was when I gave Stanley some alcohol.
Today I started the game and I spawned in the beach hut, nowhere near Stanley. But I could hear him say "I'll wait here, I'm not really up to moving around".

Does anyone know if they're gonna bother fixing any of these?
Iron Monkey Jun 1, 2016 @ 12:50pm
I wonder if they even plan of fixing anything. Most are minor bugs but some are really annoying like the missing open icon on chests when sometimes loading the game. Or the opening of a door but the door doesnt actually open and you get stuck and cant leave.
Some sounds, such as door and chest opening, are no longer present.

If a video is necessary, I'll record it and make it available later.

Loving the remaster for the most part, but I have found some non-gamebreaking bugs. When I first got the pickup at the lifguard station, I tried to hop into the bed, and the rear wheels got stuck floating a couple of feet in mid air- apparently lifted up by my jumping action. I threw a box at it from the rear and it fixed things.

That happened again a few hours later on the road between the lighthouse and the lifeguard station (not sure if it was the same pickup), but throwing a gas canister at it would not fix it this time and all four wheel where flaoting this time. I could get into the truck as it was floating a couple of feet above the ground, but could not drive forward or reverse apparently because the wheels can't get traction floating above the ground. The truck eventually fell to the ground after a zombie bumped into it while chasing after me.

edit: Also while I can't kick beach balls. I can usually move them a good distance by walking into them. I walked a beach ball a few feet into a pool. The ball fell into the pool and sank like a rock to the bottom. I don't remember if beach balls floated in the original game.

I know beach ball kicking isn't improtant to finishing the game, but it may be related to more important truck physics and hitbox bugs that others have reported.

I don't have any video proof and I've done a search of the steam discussion for DI:DE and haven't really seen it mentioned but for some reason in my game play so far the Infected zombies seem to all have broken AI, They scream and go running like normal but usually end up running right by me and keep going until they get hung up on a wall or hit their "leash" length and turn around to run back to their start point, if I stand directly infront of them then they'll attack but otherwise I just have to move aside and they just ignore me, it's rather disconserting especially since so far walkers and thugs act mostly normal (they do seem slightly less aggressive compared to the original though). Just wondering if anyone else has encountered this or might know of a fix as it kind of kills a bit of the challenge for me.

Yep, I had this too.

I had the same thing happen. Did not make me jump though but laugh.
Funny thing is she was just standing there with her face going from dead stare, to snarl, to scream pose, then back. Have two screenshots of it.

I also get really strange mouse movement issues on some of the menu screens.

One thing though I want to note on the OP's post. When it comes to the zombies getting stuck on vehicles. That actually used to be a thing in the original version of the game. Back before they made kicks take stamina. Though after that particular patch I do not remember it happening again after that.
