I've noticed the mouse is floaty/laggy in menus and when looking around in-game. Really wish this was fixed, really annoying.

I just disabled V-Sync and that helped for sure looking around in-game and helped some in menus, but in menus it is still a bit floaty feeling or laggy.

Oh yeah, tons of input delay on the mouse. I had put in probably 50 hours in Dead Island recently and it was fine, played DI:DE and it was terrible, my game runs at an average of 80-100FPS maxed out too, never dips below 60FPS, VSync always off. Still a huge delay.

Turning off VSYNC helps, but the lag is still terrible :@

Found that disabling Chromatic aberration effect (under film grain) does help reduce mouse input lag on my system. You won't miss it. Playing with GSync enabled and ingame vsync off ofc, even without GSync it's not great.

Also the game only supports one GPU. Tried adding SLI bits from Dying Light but this would require renaming the Definitive Edition exe since they are different SLI profiles and API's, why they named them both DeadIslandGame.exe is beyond me.

What exactly does Chromatic Aberration do? I turned it off and on and did not notice any graphic diferences, unless it has to do with blood, I noticed that sometimes blood on the ground looked like mercury and had a weird effect.

None of them make any significant difference, it's still annoying as hell :@

um what are your framerates like? you did not bother to say anything so makes me wonder if your pc is just too weak.

I got a gaming laptop with GTX970M, getting 80+ FPS on ultra settings. My pc is nowhere near being "too weak"

Chromatic Aberration adds HDR, bloom and depending on the title colour tints which all adds up to the older film look. It's hard to differentiate between on/off and comes down to your particular preferences. It's a post-process effect it will add extra load to both your CPU and GPU. If you played The Division most people disabled this.

Ok, so that doesn't explain the blood sometimes looking like the melted down T1000 then....heh

Chromatic aberration is the effect you get when looking through a lens and light bounces the colors incorrectly, you'll see red, yellow, blue and such around objects in the shape of the object but offset. It's just to give it a filmed, shot through camera effect or a realistic sniper scope effect. It's pretty much worthless in this game though since there are no scoped weapons. Turning off film grain and chromatic aberration helped my mouse delay a lot but it's still definitely noticeable even though I stay above 60FPS 99% of the time.

"noticeable", seriously? IT MAKES THE GAME UNPLAYABLE :@@@
