Weapon boxes can no longer be re-opened?

As i noticed. When i open a weapon chest. and i wanna come back to it later, like 12 hours later, even after closing game. It does not let me re-open. For new weapons. Did they stop this?

I hope it's a bug, I have this issue with plain and the first two leveled chests. Lvl3 are safe for some reason.

Well thing is. i spent 3 points on key talent right. and so i opened a level 3 red weapon chest and it was a ♥♥♥♥ weapon. i am level 12 and it gave me a level 7 green weapon...

and that was many hours ago. now it does not let me open again. it seems pointless to spend points in that talent in this new "Definitive Edition"...

Did you zone in and out back to the same chest a few minutes later? Because I am having no such problems like that.

it is the red level 3 chest by the beach at the live stage. i will try again

Now i'm screwed too, can't farm chests now. Zoned out multiple times and tried restarting. Now any chest i've looted just don't let me farm from.

Try to travel to Morsbey town ang back again to beach, chest will reload itself.

Inoticed that when I played the next day all chests were lootable

After a few more hours of running, smashing zombies head, fast travelling between lighthouse and lifeguard tower. doing mission and getting the tank truck. all weapon chests resetted.

Wait until you get to the laboratory. For some reason, chests stopped giving weapons and just had either gun ammo or money. Ridiculous.

And boy will they THROW ammo at you. I barely used the pistol then I didn't even have a shotgun but yet I had myself maxed and overflowing shottie ammo.

But I guess since it's towards the end, it's just the devs saying "Ehh, you're probably keep whatever you have at this point."

the lab ammo thing is very annoying you almost have to use guns or swinging weapons if you throw your favorite axe or whatever into a zombie you may find other zombies kicking your ass while you try to get yourself in the right position to retieve your weapon because your full on ammo and the ammo on the zombie is blocking you from weapon retrieval. also i suspect the lab area was problably going to be rich in gun chests because i have the riptide de as well and the city chests deliver guns quite often compared to old riptide version.

the jungle / research act have not given me a singel weapon in the weapon boxes. they all contains 30~90$
