Has the shotgun been updated with Riptide's system? Since the Shotgun in Dead Island sucks while the Shotgun in Dead Island Riptide was amazing

The shotgun was good when I remember using it. Then again I was a Purna main for the original Dead Island. Shotguns where able to one shot everything but the end boss.

No idea if it functions the same, better,or worse yet in this one.

When I used Shotguns in the original Dead Island game; a shotgun shot to the face at point blank did around the same as a pistol shot

Something must have been really wrong with your copy, or you where really far away. Its a shotgun, not a sniper rifle. I still have a screenshot of one of my oneshots on a Thug on my profile. Used to have one for Ram and Butcher. I might go back and get one again for the Ram at some point if I can capture it at the right moment. Butcher and Thugs are the easiest to do a one shot on. Ram is the hardest since the head hitbox is small.

When I talk about one shotting Rams I do mean doing so with still getting exp. I am aware of the knockback bug with the Ram. In-case you do not know with enough knockback you can one shot a Ram that way but you get no exp or loot from it. ( This can happen with the shotgun, as well as melee weapons and some abilities. Mostly two handed hammer and axe weapons. Rare but exposives can do it too sometimes. Think its related to the Ram not having animation for getting back up so instead of being knocked down and getting up, it just dies. )

You may not have actually used the shotgun in the game. I never once had a problem with shotgun instakilling humans and zombies alike.

If you have ♥♥♥♥♥♥ weapons, ♥♥♥♥♥♥ guns, they don't kill things no matter what.
