Which character do I choose?

It is my first playthrough and I don't know how to choose, any suggestions?

The easiest way is for Sam B. He withstands damage well, also has healing and defense skills. His rage is useless.

Purna Jackson is a shooting hero, which means you're just waiting for the first chapter and it's very difficult for you. I would agree that Sam B is the tank and easiest if you are just starting. There are no super bad choices but it takes awhile to figure out how things work and Sam B gives you the best chance to recover from getting into a bad situation because you don't realize how quickly one or two zombies can become a swarm.

wow rage useless never herd that one his rage is my favorite out of the 4 characters played this game for several hours on 360 and never had problem

Here I meant that you can be knocked down during a rage. The probability of this is much higher for Sam B, than that of the other heroes, because in order to strike you need to get close to the enemies. Sam's rage does not give additional effects in the form of acceleration or increased health, like Xian Mei (she can use almost all the rage skills and you will feel their effect in battle). If you don't increase Sam's rage (just ignore it), then you can make him a very cool character. Since his fighting and survival skills are the they are very good and will help you survive much longer. Sam B created to absorbs damage and survives well.
