I'm genuinely getting frustrated with this games FOV

I've tried the stupid XML edit to fix the FOV but it destroys the recoil of all the guns, i've downloaded a tweak off nexus that gives me the perfect FOV ( https://www.nexusmods.com/deadisland/mods/14?tab=description ) And it fixes all my issues yet I now can't play with people.

Might just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ uninstall. its making me so frustrated, does anyone know how to properly fix the FOV or which files to extract from this mod to fix the FOV and play with people?

BTW The FOV Edit from the mod linked isn't even default_levels, its something completely different.
