Step one; Launch Game.
Step Two; Allow game to Crash, or close manually.
Step Three; Open the Nvidia Control Panel (Easiest was I've found is to right click your desktop background, it should be in the middle of the options pop-out, as Geforce Experience will sometimes not follow through.) and wait the 1-2 minutes for it to show itself.
Four; On the left side of this Control Panel, you will see a number of options, one option below the top should be "Manage 3D Settings", open it.
Five; It should open to Global or Program Settings, depending on if you've used it before. Change "Global Settings" in this tab to include a low FPS, about 30, the game was not optimized for current day, even the newer release version. If you generally run at a high FPS and find the lower FPS uncomfortable, test it higher later, see if it still runs.
Six; Click on "Program Settings", click on "Add", select "Dead Island (deadislandgame.exe)". On the same screen, at the bottom, click "Apply".
Seven; Congratulations! Either your game will work because your Graphics Card is now not only allowed, but rather FORCED to work the way it's supposed to on this game, or, this has failed and you're cursing my name. If it DID work however, remember that the game will now Stutter, because it's being FORCED to work properly. These stutters may be as few as every half hour and last for a flicker, or every 5 minutes and last for a second or two, depending on your general computer performance, and CPU/Memory load at the time. If it's happening more frequently than that, see about turning off some background processes you're not using.
Hope this helps anyone in any way, shape, or form, and remember, IF it works for this, it also works on some other games such as Fallout 4, We Happy Few, and Subnautica, for the same reason listed above, so go give your old crashing money dumps a try~ Happy Skullbashing!
Edited to add "Working", many fixes were attempted.
