Same here man, I also like Dead Island a lot and remember good ol' times when I used to play it. That's why I said it was a good game for its time. But comparing to other games in the market right now, including Dying Light, it can’t compete with them.

i own the originals and i also recently got the definitive edtion on sale. its actualy my 3rd time buying as i had it on xbox 360 originaly then got it for pc and now the new version. not many games i could say that im willing to spend the money on more than once. im glad i did. its just a graphics update but to me its worth it for a game that i really love and play a lot. dying light is a great game also and i recommend it. for me dead island riptide is best followed by dying light and then dead island.

In my opinion it's not worth buying the definitive editions but since there's just those now... well buy them at 75% promotion if you haven't played or finished the normal version. Since there's zero differences between the normal versions and the definitive ones.

Check yer facts, bud. There are MANY differences (note that system requirements differ as well); the game was revamped to run on contemporary rigs with new textures, et cetera. Of course, if you've run both versions on a piece-of-crap machine, should you be shocked NOT to see any difference?
